ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Christopher Mathews, a native of New Orleans, was born in 1959. He was the son of a photographer and enjoyed photography as a hobby at an early age. He began photographing weddings at the young age of 16.
Christopher served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War as a combat document still photographer from 1969 to 1973. While he was in the service, he also taught photography as well as black and white and color photo finishing.

In 1976, Christopher enrolled at the prestigious Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California. While in school, he worked at the Tim Putz Photography Company and soon became vice president. He graduated with a Masters Degree of Science from the Brooks Institute on June 8, 1980.
Shortly after graduating, Christopher moved back to New Orleans and opened his own full service photography studio named for himself, Christopher's Photography and has proudly served the metro New Orleans are since 1980.
